Welcome to The Glitch, a simulated e-commerce environment designed to showcase StoreAgent AI. Because this is a fake store, our privacy practices are wonderfully simple: we care deeply about your data, but since nothing here is real, your secrets are largely safe in the void.
Here is exactly how we handle the information you provide while testing our system.
1. Information We (Don’t Actually) Collect
While you browse our Array Trousers and Syntax Silk Blouses, you might interact with our site and chatbot. We process:
- Chat Logs: Whatever you type into the StoreAgent chatbot is processed by our AI to demonstrate how brilliantly it answers your questions.
- Fake Checkout Data: If you enter “John Doe” living at “123 Fake Street” into our checkout page, we will dutifully process this nonexistent order.
- Real Financial Data (DO NOT ENTER THIS): Please do not enter your actual credit card information. If you do, our system will likely just get confused, as we have no actual payment gateway connected to a real bank.
2. How We Use Your “Data”
We use your interactions strictly for demonstration purposes. Specifically, we use it to:
- Prove that the StoreAgent AI can seamlessly handle customer support queries.
- Test our simulated shopping cart mechanics.
- Generate temporary chat logs that are eventually flushed from our server’s cache.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Frankly, the data generated on a demo site has terrible market value, and data brokers have no interest in your simulated purchase of a Cache Beanie.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use standard session cookies to keep the demo running smoothly so your cart doesn’t spontaneously empty itself when you navigate to a new page. We do not use third-party ad trackers to follow you around the internet trying to sell you The Null Pointer Tee.
4. Data Security
We protect your imaginary transactions with industry-standard, simulated security protocols. Any data you submit is securely routed directly into /dev/null (or a secure, temporary database that gets wiped regularly).
5. Your Rights (The Right to Disconnect)
Under global privacy frameworks, you have the right to control your data. In the context of The Glitch, you can exercise these rights by:
- Clicking the “X” on your browser tab.
- Clearing your browser’s local cache.
- Asking the StoreAgent bot to forget you (though it has the memory of a goldfish anyway once your session expires).
If you are a merchant evaluating StoreAgent AI and want to see our actual Privacy Policy regarding real user data, please visit the legitimate StoreAgent website.
